We make yoga mats for studios, teachers, and practitioners around the world who care about grip, honesty, and how a mat feels after five years of Surya Namaskar.
Our story
It began with a borrowed yoga mat in a small workshop in Foshan.
Yonwa began with a simple question — why do most yoga mats feel disposable after a single season? Our founders practiced for years on borrowed and rented mats, noticing how foam quickly lost its grip, how PU surfaces began to peel, and how a mat that once felt like home could start to feel like a burden.
Drawing on Foshan's deep manufacturing heritage and a personal commitment to safer, more sustainable materials, yonwa chose to make mats slowly: natural tree rubber from managed plantations, cork harvested without felling trees, and TPE blends free of PVC, latex allergens, and heavy-metal dyes.

Today Yonwa supplies boutique studios, teacher trainings, hotels and wellness brands, and independent retailers in more than 30 countries — all from the same workshop floor where the first mat was poured.

Factory introduction
YonWa Yoga Factory Introduction
Yonwa Factory was established on March 7, 2003. Its registered address is located on Sanming Road, Hecheng Street, Gaoming District, Foshan City. The company is situated in the National Torch Program New Materials Industrial Base — the Cangjiang Industrial Park in Gaoming, Foshan City, Guangdong Province — covering an area of more than 80,000 square meters. It is a modern enterprise integrating R&D, production, and sales.
Yonwa Factory over the past five years, the company has achieved annual sales growth of more than 25%, with over 80% of products exported to developed regions such as the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. It operates four advanced foaming production lines, with continuous technological innovation. Products meet European environmental standards and have passed testing by TV and SGS Hong Kong. They meet the U.S. CPSIA and CA Prop 65 testing standards as well as the EU REACH and Oeko-Tex standard 100 testing standards. The factory has passed WALMART and TARGET audits, ISO 9001:2008 quality management system certification, and ISO 14001 environmental management system certification. It conducts independent R&D and has successfully applied for multiple patents.

A simple, deliberate process — designed to be repeatable, traceable, and honest at every step.
Material selection
Rubber, cork, and TPE batches are sourced from certified suppliers and tested before entering the workshop.
Pouring & curing
Layers are bonded under controlled temperature and humidity, then left to rest so the cell structure stabilizes.
Trimming & inspection
Every mat is laser-cut, edge-polished, and hand-checked for thickness, weight, and surface uniformity.
Packaging & shipping
Rolled and shipped in recyclable, plastic-free packaging, with full tracking from the workshop floor to your studio door.
